The Pine Meadows Retreat is a 5 bedroom home on more than 120 acres, offering glimpse into the past and the opportunity to explore a natural, pasture and wooded setting. The southern house was originally built in 1899 with a northern house built in the late 1920's. The two homes shared a breezeway, which was closed in during the 1940's to make it a single residence. You can still see the two buildings and their different styles from the front of the house. The entire structure went through a complete rehabilitation over the past four years with new plumbing, electrical, windows and other modifications to address years of neglect. The result is a modern home with the 'old farmhouse' feel. The atmosphere of the past is further enhanced by inclusion of many antiques from the 1900-1920 time period.

Enjoy a day on the Huzzah River, which runs through the front of the property. The river has a large gravel bar for wading, hanging out, or just sitting quietly as the water flows by.

The Mark Twain National Forest is directly connected to the back of the property. Three pastures have been converted from grazing land to a planting of native grasses and wildflowers. The National Forest offers over 6,000 acres of land to hike, hunt and explore. The 14 acres of native grasses and wildflowers offers a chance to see Missouri in all it’s beauty.

Dillard Mill is just a half-mile up the road from Pine Meadows.
A red mill set on the blue waters of Huzzah Creek is as pretty a picture as there is in Missouri, and that’s the setting for Dillard Mill State Historic Site. The site interprets one of the state’s best-preserved gristmills, completed in 1908 as the Mische Mill. -
The kitchen is fully furnished with pots/pans, utensil and everything to make large meals.
The adjoining sunroom has large seating area, lots of windows and a large screen tv.
On the other side of the kitchen is a laundry room with a washer, dryer and utility sink. The front porch was restored to original condition.
